The Custom Design Experience

You are custom, so what you wear should represent you.

All custom designs require a minimum of 2 MONTHS from the proposal sign and deposit payment.

Consultation

We begin with a consultation. We offer in person and online consultations for a nonrefundable fee of $150, which is applied to your total garment cost should you move further. During the in person consultation, our clients endure a tactile experience, selecting from several volumes of fabrics, laces, appliqués, trims, sequins, stones, ect. In most cases Danietté will sketch the design in person if the design doesn’t require further research beyond the consultation. You may/may not be measured in a consultation. A preliminary quote is also given in the consultation but can be amended after the design is finalized and proposal sent. We encourage all clients and potential clients to establish a budget prior to the consultation.

Execution & Fittings

The execution phase is stretched anywhere from 1 month to 1 year! The sooner our clients book, the better, as more time is allocated for the upmost quality and execution. Sourcing can begin immediately once a deposit is paid, and this process can take months. A client’s spot is only secured when a proposal is signed with an attached sketch, and deposit paid. Throughout construction, Danietté may or may not need the client for fittings. It’s imperative to be ready with ideal undergarments and shoes for proper adjustment notes, however she will communicate via email with adequate times for fittings so their is no last minute preparation on either end! We encourage our clients to communicate any adjustments or changes they would like while in the consultation, so that these changes can be accurately communicated, and confirmed. Any changes beyond the initial sketch/proposal are subject to additional charges. All clients are also encouraged to wear any undergarments and shoes they plan to wear for the special occasion to ensure they get an exact preview of what they look like when wearing their custom attire.

Delivery

Your final fitting will result in the delivery of your custom gown as long as your balance is paid by the due date specified in your proposal. We again require clients to wear the same undergarments and shoes they plan to wear for their special day! Danietté is available for styling services in addition to the design/construction services if requested.
